The original CTSC mounted a bracket between the head and the VTEC solenoid and tapped this bracket for oil feed.

So if you loose this, what was the point of it in the first place?
When you get an EMS, it does not use the oil pressure sensor off of the vtec solenoid like stated above. Depending on your turbo kit, you may need to remove the plug for the sensor. Rather than having an open plug sticking off the vtec solenoid, you can remove the whole sensor and thread this bolt in its place to make it look nicer. Its a cosmetic mod that cleans things up mostly.

With my InlinePro sidewinder manifold, I actually melted the end of my vtec sensor plug as its right next to the down pipe. I just bought one of these for my car while at Full Blown yesterday to replace that melted sensor.
Snap! My sidewinder melted my sensor plug right off.lol

Good thing with a standalone you dont need this. I need this bolt as its leaking a drop or two of oil onto my mani and burning up in smoke.

If you just no longer have the sensor there, then the light wont be on.

Standalone managemebnt system bypasses this so the ligth wont be on to begin with.

If you dont have a standalone then yes you will have a the light on and you wont have vtec as the oil pressure signal will be lost.

the vtec oil pressure sensor has absolutely nothing to do with the oil light on the dash, and the oil light on the dash is in no way controlled by the ecu.

the vtec pressure switch comes on AFTER the vtec system is pressurized. It's used to verify that vtec came on when the ecu told it to.
