I believe I need to find a 1 3/4" muffler inlet.

as far as the noise goes, it just really annoying to me. I live in an area that doesn't have any mod'd cars where there are more porches the civics. I spent a lot of money getting my car boosted, and because the noise is so annoying I don't take advantage of the car. I've probably only done less then 15/20 wot pulls since I just can't stand the noise. If I was on a track thats a different story, I just don't like creating that much noise on public roads or highways.

the fu factor when passing aholes driving slow in the left lane is nice however

keep in mind that I currently have a crazy quiet mugen exhaust so all I hear is the spool and blow off then when it opens the wategate. I can't hear my normal exhaust so the wg noise really sticks out. I did just order Asuras exhaust so that should change things a bit.

Recirculation the dump robs HP. However, this wouldn't really be noticed unless you are trying to maximize your power outputs in your setup.

Also, whats the big deal about a loud wastegate??? It's only opened when you are WOT hauling ass, it's not like you are just driving around town, in a neighborhood, etc. with it dumping screaming it's ass off????

Thats what Im saying its not open until you want it to be. Dont get me wrong, its not to impress people, its just nice to have

my wastegate opens at 8psi so I drive the car normally with a little boost without it opening, but when I want to do pulls I just don't want to attract any unessesary attention

The way I see the difference is class, I liken it to a guy that rattle cans flames on his car. Just like when I hear a dump tube, I look around and think to myself WTF? The S2000 straddles the line of Rice Rocket and Sophistication, so without careful consideration the car will go from a nice car that everyone one would enjoy driving to something out of Fast and the Furious.

So the real question you need to ask yourself is do I want Highend Tuned Machine or an Ebay Fast and the Furious S bucket. (Pun Intended)

Oh and yes, if the car is a TRUE racecar then I would expect it to be loud, but a street car is an entirely different story.

just recirculate it, if you merge the dumptube into the exhaust correctly, and far enough downstream of the turbo it wont really hurt performance that much. I did this on my 400whp prelude and i enjoyed the car much more, instead of hearing the loud ass wastegate you will actually be able to hear the turbo moving all that air. Those mini mufflers really dont do anything for decible reduction, it will just get rid of some of the rasp.

i make my own wastegate muffler but her is what i've done in the past. apex makes a muffler baffle that isn't the typical cork that most companies make. it actually is a mini muffler that you stick in the tip to quiet the car down. it works perfect if as a wastegate muffler too you just have to do some welding. also i've used 2 stroke and small four stroke mufflers. i don't remember who makes it but there was this small aluminum one i used that sounded the best. about 8-inchs long and oval (2' x 3 1/3")

ok, so I am going to have two dumptubes, how loud is my car going to be?

I have 12lb springs on the dual 38mm MVS Wastegates, I will only be going past 12PSI when I "need" too. Is it like Rocketship loud?

I am 29, but in my heart I guess I am more 18 or so, because I think I will get kick out of the car sounding like an F-16 when I want it too........

I think there is a big differance when a car is loud and slow, to me if its loud and fast.........................it kinda makes me smile

38x2 = 76mm

76mm = 3 inches

So, in essence it will be as loud as a 3 inch open dump N/A exhaust.

Yea, a little loud.
