Water To air part 2
Since the S2000 has been in storage for a while I have bought some new items for the car. Mostly turbo parts.
Got a t3/blowzilla
Tial 50mm BOV
AEM Wideband
2.5 inch aluminum V-bands flanges and clamps
2.5 4 bolt to 3" V band adapter
4 3 steel inch v-band (for exhaust)
Competition Clutch stage 5
Password JDM Gold Radiator hold downs
Password JDM Gold Fender bolt dress up kit.
Just bought today
Mishimoto Rad
Two Slim S-Bend fans
Mishimoto cooling plate
Still need to get
Megan Racing 3 inch exhaust
Flywheel
1200cc or bigger injectors
300lhp pump.
Large Heat exchanger
Looking for a OEM gold f22c Coil pack cover
I got a lot of work ahead of me, But i am excited to start working on the car again. Once this negative degree weather stops I am going to be pulling the S2000 into the garage to start tearing the transmission off, and also at the same time changing some things. My turbo manifold will get ceramic coated. changing the tial 38mm wastegate to a tial 44mm wastegate. Then with the new v-band flanges and clamps: the intercooler, turbo, and throttle body will get a v-band welded to each item. Also making a new down pipe for the 3 inch exhaust will be a nifty task considering how the placement of the turbo is with this manifold. Also placing my dry cell stinger spp680 battery in the back. And i am in the design process of making a catch can.
All in all i am looking forward to getting my hands durty.
For some who have not seen this is what the engine bay looks like now. Extremely cluttered.

Im doing all this stuff because I want to make the engine bay look nicer. Right now it just looks like a bunch of shit throwin together.

So today i started working on the car. I pulled all the turbo items off. and also removed all the AC components. relocated my fuse box to a different position. in the next couple days ill be dropping the trans and installing my new stage 5 clutch. ANY s2000 owners used a competition clutch before??? this is my first CC. Ive always used ACT. anyways ill be posting up some more photos.

So today i welded the vbands to the throttle body anf intercooler. Once the 4th v band comes in ill weld that to the turbo. Boy working with aluminum is tough. Tonight i test fit the intercoolet and bov! This saturday i drop the trans. Also at the same time ill be blocking off the air pump and egr stuff.

Interesting setup! Are you going to put something flexible between the turbo-watercooler-trotlebody? The only issue you may encounter is that the engine flexing may cause the piping to break. I have a comptech kit and if I don't let a 1/4 inch gap of flexing in the silicone coupler between the engine and cooler I get alot of vibrations. Keep us posted with your results!
Yeah i need to move the cooler a bit forward. It is still very close i can still slide a small screw driver between the cross member and the cooler. Still need to put the gasket on that will add a little lOL Jk. Today i drop the tranny. Wish me luck
