Default wet sleeves

hi guys ,my wet sleeve block had detonation marks on the sleeves so im having it cleaned ,machine shop did the messuring said it will be clean and ready to go at 88.2 ,so i need new pistons .should i have it brought to 88.5 , for ease of piston availability .
was dealing with jason by phone from cnc ,but he owes me money so he stopped talking to me and taking my phone calls.
any info would be a great help

Hey bud, probably easier to get off the shelf pistons at 88.5mm in my opinion.

Some pistons come hard at the measurement your buying and u put the clearance into the bore, and some come with the clearance for a hard measurement u have on your bore size, I think u might be able to use this to your advantage. U still have room to play with but as u approach 90mm being a DD if so u run the risk of losing hg's

In my opinion getting pistons hard @ 88.5 and then boring out farther for clearance is a waste and will exclude that block from further builds/repairs.
