Well I could be wrong but I don't think its easy as switching maps between E85 & Pump gas. With all of the fuel system upgrades to flow all the E85 you'll need, I don't know if you can just switch maps. But if that is true then no worries Justin.

Btw: I agree with you Joey about both using meth and the fact its never enough
You can easily switch maps and even better buy a sensor out of a flex fuel vehicle and use it to have your car mapped properly no matter what the mixture.

What part of NC are you guys from? Ive been debating this for a WHILE now, whether or not to run e85 or just have a pump/race gas tune with my boost solenoid. I thought of having 2 tunes between e85 and pump but I just figured that wouldnt work very well. In my area the only close E85 station is in Hickory which is where I work, about 25 miles from my house. If being able to have a pump gas tune and an E85 tune would work well then thats a no brainer in my book. Has anyone done this particular fuel setup yet?

You could do it pretty easily you just have to make sure before you switch fuels the fuel light has been on for a bit, which makes some people uncomfortable. The other option is like I posted earlier; buy a flex fuel sensor so you can have any mixture of ethanol and gasoline and be fine. I'm from Wilmington and unfortunately we don't have any E85 stations around, I just buy E100 drums by the pallet.

Oh ok. Im in the Hickory area, about 1 hour from Charlotte. Ive considered just leaving a drum at my house at all times, but it does spoil rather quickly so it has to be used. Im going to give this pump/E85 tune thing a gander when its assembled again. Some of you guys really need to take a trip down to Hickory one Saturday. It would be worth your time haha

I drained my race gas the other day by disconnecting my -8 return line at the tank and putting it in a gas can and then started the car until it was running very rough and shut it down. I did this because I am switching to e85 but will never do it again. The Walbro's didnt like running while the fuel was so low. I could smell that hot electrical smell around my trunk after doing this from, I'm sure, the pumps getting very hot. I wouldnt recommend ever running your tank very low with the Walbro pumps. I will always keep my tank above 1/2 tank.

That is a very common thing to hear about the Walbros. Or it is for me anyway. I totally forgot about them being so finicky with the fuel level. idk wtf Im going to do
