Don't do the Hondata intake gasket unless you want problems down the road. Stay with the stock gasket setup.

i persoanlly wouldnt do the hondata gasket, nor the porting of the intake mani and the SOS 70mm TB at all. people can make 400+ wiht the stock stuff.

i htink they put the 5965 as the kit turbo unless you ask for something else. evens will get you 400 pump if you want it

The 70mm TB and mated/bored intake have proven gains. What are the problems associated with the 70mm TB/ported intake and whats wrong with the Hondata gasket? I'm asking becuase I am strongly considering all 3 on my SC set up to gain power at less presures. I would like to hear some horror stories.

hondata gasket distorts under high heat and causes coolant leaks...you should easily be able to get about 300whp...what happened john? you couldve had my complete stage one kit with everything you needed except the ems?

well since you bought everything already then use it. i have a hondata gasket, its a royal pita to install, and my opinion is that it just slows the process of the intake mani heat soaking, but doesnt prevent it.

if i had to do it over again, i wouldnt have done it. as for hte other stuff, if you hadnt bought it yet, its way cheaper to crank the boost 1-2 psi and tune for it then install all that stuff, pay for all that stuff. again, my opinion.

400whp is very attainable for that kit pump gas. hell you should have AT LEAST 350-375 easy.

good luck you will have a lot of fun.

I still think this is exaggerated. I have one. Have not run it for that many miles so maybe I could run into problems, and with the right tools does not take that much time to install. I have checked the torqu on them a few times and the nuts have never come loose.

Its made of delrin, which resists creep into the 300 degree temp range. Thats a lot higher than most people will ever see.

Could they have failed in a couple applications? Probably. Would that get overstated on the internet? Absolutely. Could someone have screwed up the install which led to a failure? Sounds possible to me.

Plenty of people have run them without issue, but for the potential benefits it is probably uneccessary.

I have one with a fairly cool running SC, I might think differently with a high power turbo and high psi.

Its kind of like the differential boogeyman. Most people will never break the diff, but everybody is afraid of it.

keep the manifold and throttle body...they will help with better flow...my kit is still for sale...probably will be for a while...as for the gasket from what i have heard is that it fails under high temps, this is what i have heard from quite a few different people that ran them, not my personal experience...
