S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

What are my roots-type options?

Yeah, I know... part of the reason was to try something new that wasn't as common. I might end up going the turbo route if I can't get pricing to be in my neighborhood.

The kit is great. Very pleased with mine.

Bad news for you is your budget if you are considering the SOT kit though. You will need a new clutch for sure.

To my knowledge there is only one owner that has experienced problem out of his setup.
This is not because of the kit there is another issues that we have drilling down to the root cause. I have been working with him to fix his issues adjusting the tunne as appropriate to further the investigation.

Once he gets his wideband installed I will be able to tune his car remotely for him.
He did a leak test last night and found multiple spots where the hose clamps were not torque down enough.

Looks like hi idel issue solved.

He will at 350 rwhp. Last time I saw Wlaurent post he was at 20,000 miles on stock clutch. I have only 2000 miles on mine (at stock boost) and it has not slipped so far. Although it much easier to sawap it out during the install when you have access to the head studs than going back in and pulling the blower later.

I was at ~300whp and it wasnt an option for me unfortunately. That was also with the standard pulley.

I don't mind doing a clutch, the fact is that I already have a tiny bit of slippage when I'm driving hard on dry pavement. The budget was for the FI alone. One way or another I'll check out an FI car today and make some kind of decision.

Go with a small turbo for faster spool and you will be happy. The roots will always be more instantaneous, but boost is very addictive and the limits of the SOT kit will come into play quickly. I was happy with 300 once, then 350, then 400, etc... When the roots kit is made with an integrated laminova intercooler and can support enough boost to generate 450 WHP, sign me up. Until then, my money is on the turbo. The blower needs to be integrated into a new intake manifold with a laminova cooler and increased capicity, it would be a cleaner looking installation get it away from the hotside of the engine.

Just a matter of time someone making a kit with TVS blower. Hopefully that will be the case when I have enough money to buy one.

The is not enough physical room to integrate a Laminova IC for a cold side MP62 supercharger. Now if you wanted to go with a MP45 then it would fit but the flow capacity of the MP45 would have made the final numbers come in to low.

In addition to not enough physical room the cost to make a manifold with the Laminova was extremely expensive...

Wish there was; this was the path SOT was taking for a while until cost and packing constraints made them go to a hot side setup.

Being on the hot side of the motor in not always a bad thing.

The intercooler is keeping IATs within 10-15 deg of ambient when in boost. SO there is nothing wrong with putting the blower over there.

OEM manufactures put the Eaton blowers on the hot side of the motors when space is limited on the cold side.
