What type of manifold?
Everyones advice to read up is very accurate. You're asking which manifold puts out the least amount of heat, which sounds like you aren't aware that the s2k has heat problems even in NA form.

^ That kind of conflicts a bit though I think you're in the right area size-wise. You mentioned a GT35R yet said the GT30 would be better for the power-band, which is correct but that means the 35R isn't really what he needs. I think the GT3076 is the PERFECT turbo for an S2000 personally in terms of usable power. A GT35R is a little bit overkill though it's a great turbo and all I'd still prefer the GT30.
As far as tubular, he's looking to cut down on heat, so the best would be a log manifold. Plus keep in mind he's new, a log is the least problems and perhaps the direction he should take. If he later decides he needs more than 400whp or something he can go to a more efficient long runner and sell the log pretty easily.
The long runner pictured above will generate an incredible amount of heat and with the GT40 will have a fair bit of lag, far too much IMO to be fun for what the S2K was made for (tight turns and canyons etc.).

Dude not for nothing but sometimes I feel u don't read everything before posting and just look for a way to be controversial and talk down to people.
He wants mid 500's. Tubular mani with a gt35r will do this well. However tubular with a more expensive gtX30r will do this with better power band. I fail to see the conflict in that statement.
Go ahead and do that with a log it can be done doesn't mean it's the preferred way to do it. Power band suffers and it's incredibly inefficient which I believe will create heat in itself.

... Did you read his first post as well as all the others? Did you read my long response to him?
He THINKS he wants mid 500's ...yet doesn't know what side the steering rack is and wants to keep his power steering, maybe I read EVERYTHING and I'm considering the situation at hand and looking into it more deeply.
He doesn't have to get the gtx the GT30R is far better price for the performance. Why point a first setup owner to the more expensive stuff possible? Give him bang for the buck performance so he can get the most for his money and have an enjoyable car.
I'm fully aware of log vs tubular and vs equal length.
It will run cooler with a log hands down, there won't really be any change in temp as you "believed", rather because it'll be tuned to run "proper" which is a set EGT safety zone, it will mean a little less hp per psi however. Heat is a huge issue if he intends to stay on the throttle constantly such as a track day. A lot of people with failures miss the fact that heat is the number one reason a turbo kit destroys a motor.
Not to mention, the rear end isn't safe for numbers above 450 really so tubular manifold isn't really a need. If you're going to point him in that direction he should be advised of the many other issues that will arrise. And if you say it's for the power band well then a GT3071 is going to do every bit as good as a GT35R on a tubular in terms of tq. I've seen it done both ways, ends up almost identical except one costs far more. The very general term "powerband" can be rather misleading. He'll make gobs of torque on a log with a smaller turbo. I can make 350ft/lbs @ 400whp on a log all day. So the powerband isn't really the issue at all.
So please keep your assumptions to yourself until you're more sure. Talk down to people? Rather then mislead him into financially f@#king himself on his car? I'm setting him straight that's all.

U make me laugh. Lemme guess your an extremely opinionated individual that likes to be the chest puffing alpha male. Get off your high horse. He asked what can do it I answered. U don't have to act like his father and tell him what he really wants.
I've read so many of your posts and the underlying tone in each one is your right and everyone else is wrong.
Whatever though doesn't bother me. My post was my opinion based on others and my own setup. Apparently your post was gods decree though.

Underlying tones on the internet......... :
Your post wasn't far off the mark or anything but I'm trying to lead the guy in the best direction for HIS abilities and future conquests.
