Default Whats Your Perfect Build

I love to throw these up every once in a while. The more cars I drive/work on the more I slightly change my perceptions. Additionally now that I have my Z06 I don't have the urge to have an S2000 with a zillion HP, though it was fun while it lasted. Personally after having the opportunity to test drive some higher end cars the S2000 still stands out the the most fun. As great as it is I think with a few small changes it would be nearly unbeatable on the fun-O-meter.

Yeesh I don't think I could compile a list like that. I like the way I built my car as it sits. Anything that was lacking I ditched for something better. Hence the upgrade from the Ultimate Racing kit to Pfab.

Yeah, now that I have a 2011 5.0 mustang vert I would do the following to a S2000.

2006+ S2000 CR White with CR wing and lip
Ptuning turbo kit with a gt30x or 5857BB or 6062 if it would not break.
ID 1000
Built motor that could hold 20-25 psi
Top $ puddy mod rear
New SOS clutch
Q300 exhaust
Cooling mods, larger raditator

I haven't had the opportunity to drive a vette yet, so this opinion is subject to change.

However, if I had a re-do, I would have kept the motor stock, either kept my 30r, or my 6262, and with a direct port system make 600whp'ish and built the rear end.

Had a strong reliable car that didn't break the bank and was a blast to drive.

Maybe even try out some road racing with it, supportive mods for that as well.

DD / Track car: Silverstone AP1 with an imaginary biggie-sized roots blower kit that can flow lotsa cfm @ 14psi and give me 400+ at the wheels

Weekend car: Laguna Blue AP2 with the same widebody kit one of the Atlanta club members has + EternalLx's Ptuning-GTX-Meth setup

Show car / drag car: Berlina Black AP2 with LS3 engine swap, supercharged and/or NOS

All of the above with adequate transmission / diff / axle swaps/mods to handle the power, 10% tint and an imaginary set of lightweight 18" rims with the proper offset to fit 245's/275's on a 1" drop without rubbing.

I have driven two LS3 'Vettes and the way that motor pulls crazy hard for the last 1,000 rpm changed my thinking about low end vs high end power. They don't have a ton of low end like the C4 LT4's did, but once you wind them up, those things are shockingly fast compared to a stock S2000. That's actually one of the reasons why I went from the Greddy kit (tons of low end) to a centrifugal blower for my DD, to see if I could replicate that sensation of pulling harder and harder the higher it revs. Once I've found my missing 74 horses and have experienced a 400whp SC'd S2000, my choices above might change.

TJ, what the deal, you sick of working on your beast already.

Daryl, I am definatly excited to see your can in action. I think all you are missing is decent tuner.

Don, I am surprised to see you wanting another turbo, I thought you would have gone a different route, but I have to admit that was a good choice.

Its just a different kinda enjoyment with the extra parts on the car. I really liked it when I daily drove it. I still enjoy it, but its just different.
