Default Who fabricates their own stuff?

I have an SOT kit and as many of you know the airintake is in a crappy spot near where most of you put your turbos. I want to try to make a custom air duct, probably out of fiberglass and it will be a goofy shape that will run over the strut tower. I could start with a piece of styrofoam and just kind of trial-and-error chisel away at it to get the right size and shape but I was wondering if something like this might exist:

Some kind of foam or other material that compresses easily when mashed into and area and then holds firmly in that shape with no real "rebound" so that you would have a perfectly accurate shape to make a mold from.

I don't know if this exists as a consumer product and where I could get it. My backup thought would be a plastic garbage bag with some fresh mixed foam-o-fill mashed into the area and allowed to set over night, but thought there might be a tailor made product. Thanks for any help.

That might work pretty well actually, but I spent an hour staring under the hood and think my idea might not be worth the effort. I would need a lot of clay or I could just put a bunch around a foam core so as not to use ten pounds of the stuff.

be sure your intake can flow enough air. The longer the piping the harder the s/c has to work to pull air through and you may risk loosing HP if the air velocity isnt high enough.

With a pd blower all piping before the tb must be able to flow a lot. Otherwise it will become a restriction.

And I can't wait to see your results.
