Default Who has a RUNNING low comp. piston motor

I only want to hear from those who have a RUNNING motor. Not one that is being built or one you heard of. (i just want real experience from those with milage)

Aftermarket low compression pistons with stock FRM sleeves.

I will most likely be putting together a motor with stock crank/rods/sleeves, just low comp pistons.

And I forget the guys name, but I do remember him running machined oem pistons. I don't really want to go that route, I'd rather use aftermarket oversized pistons (.5mm) and get the cylinders correctly bored and honed (the manual says it is possible).

I know of wossner, mahle, and inline pro that make pistons for FRM sleeves. IP pricing for the pistons is very steep, not really looking to spend that much. ($9xxish)

not sure if I remember this correctly.. but isnt there some combo of F20 pistons w/ F22 parts that yield a 9.5 to 1 compression?

i dont really want to buy a new crank or rods. i have two perfect f20 cranks and sets of rods.

No it was 10:3 or 10:5. I came across the thread your referencing. I don't remember what combination of parts created this compression ratio though. I think it was an F20 crank/pistons with f22 rods but don't quote me on that part.

doesn't a simple 3mm HG give you like a 9.8ish CR?

I could be making things up.

you can make a 2.4 liter stroker motor with, k24 crankshaft, s2k rods, and prelude pistons if I rem correctly ...but yes you can run the lower compression pistons with the rest of the motor stock it WILL help but I hope your not shooting for 600whp +

mahle or woessener <spelling> are the two i have read about on here. well i think inlinpro also has a set. but you must make sure your cyl walls are good and round. most recent block that was sent to inlinepro that i read about to get those frm compatible pistons the cyl walls were found to be egged.
