Why did you hate your SC?
Well, im a tad bit over 400, but i want the tq too. So im thinking about spraying on top of my supercharger. Not sure yet tho. Im going to install the header and hope i get more tq, but not really counting on it tho. So a nice 50 shot should help out.

Here is why I changed from SC to turbo:
Coworker bought a new Camaro SS, I had my CTSC tuned to 400whp @ 13psi. He is one of those "torque is better" guys... we raced one night and my car was running good all week and then on that race my belt was slipping to 7-8psi and he beat me.... and i'll never live it down. Deployed a couple months later and I bought a full Ptuning kit, with a GTX3076r. Had Laskey rebuild my motor to 9:1 compression. Sent my head to Combustion Contraption Cylinder heads. and my rear end off to puddydaddy. All he has done is add cams and an exhaust. but "claims" to be planning on putting a z06 engine in and turboing it.
So yeah.. I don't like belt slip

Once you get into or around 400RWHP it becomes a lot more about getting the power down than how much power you actually have. 400rwhp is kind of ridiculous for a 2700lb car on the street.
A turbo will have more power in the mid and low range than an SC yes. But if you are tracking the car or driving it hard you will have the car at higher RMPs to take advantage of vtec anyway. in many ways having an SC keeps the driving experience of the stock S because you have to work for the power, you just get a lot more of it. However, with the 9K redline and the 6speed transmission it is easy to keep the car in optimal range for the SC to make boost even when shifting. The only way I would see the low and mid power range coming into handy would be from drag racing from a dig. However the s2k diffs are week so you can't launch the car anyway and if you wanted a drag car you shouldn't have bought the S in the first place. You might see some advantage with having mid range power on some autox courses but if you are competitive in autox you probably wouldn't have gone FI in the first place cuz it would have thrown you into a difficult class.
While you can stay in the supercharged power range, there still is a lot of area there left where a turbo would be making more power. Say the superchargers powerband is 6-9k. Sure it is fast there but a turbo will have another 75-100 hp from like 6-8 over the supercharger since that builds boost with rpm.
I still love my supercharger but if a turbo was as reliable and could drive my car the same way I would definitely be turbo as there is a ton more power under the curve even at the same peak hp.
A 400whp sc vs turbo, the turbo will destroy unfortunately.
get a mase turbo kit and call it good. i got a stage 1 SOS s/c kit and i wish i would have gotten the mase kit. i still like my s/c tho. i riced it out and got a BOV to hear the whooosssh sound.
I literally changed mine out because the vibration from having something run off of the modified crank pulley drove me absolutely insane. Changed the entire transmission/feel of the shifter and started to ruin the car for me.
I noticed different vibrations than from before but nothing drastic that would change the driving experience. It wasn't more vibrations just different vibrations. I would think it would be less noticeable than changing from the stock exhaust to an after market exhaust.
Let me know how this works. I've always seen insane numbers from such a small shot on SC domestics.
