Why did you hate your SC?
I have mine and have no issues with it. I don't see a lot of people saying they hate it. I just think a lot of people max out the kits and start running into issues with belt slip around 400RWHP and just decide to go turbo. I never planned to make that much power so it doesn't bother me.
Most people seem to love/like them.
Those that want torque at all RPMs and/or want a lot of power seem to eventually go turbo, though.
The Supercharger systems build boost with RPM, so the low-end and mid-range are basically unchanged (low boost) or slightly better than stock (higher boost).
Supercharged is definitely more reliable, though. Esp at a lower boost level. There are some great turbo options, but if you're wanting to be in the ~7psi area, people generally go with Greddy, but the parts are so-so.

That's really it. Every kit (SC or turbo) has its pro's and con's. Some people eventually want more power than their first kit can deliver; others want the power in a different spot on the tach. Do your homework and let us know what you want to achieve with your car, and people will give you suggestions.
I had a Comptech SC. Loved it. Wanted more and like to tinker so went turbo. Do I count as one of those who 'hate' their SC?

Here is why I changed from SC to turbo:
Coworker bought a new Camaro SS, I had my CTSC tuned to 400whp @ 13psi. He is one of those "torque is better" guys... we raced one night and my car was running good all week and then on that race my belt was slipping to 7-8psi and he beat me.... and i'll never live it down. Deployed a couple months later and I bought a full Ptuning kit, with a GTX3076r. Had Laskey rebuild my motor to 9:1 compression. Sent my head to Combustion Contraption Cylinder heads. and my rear end off to puddydaddy. All he has done is add cams and an exhaust. but "claims" to be planning on putting a z06 engine in and turboing it.
So yeah.. I don't like belt slip
