Default Why is this happening? Connecter is blowing off from

SO when I go into higher boost WOT and come off the throttle, the car stutters and dies. I thought I had a blown something up, but upon further inspection, the line coming from this relay(the line with the green tape)http://www.flickr.com/photos/joeycostanza/6990833473/http://www.flickr.com/photos/joeycostanza/6990833473/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/joeycostanza/, on Flickr . to the posative terminal from the battery keeps "blowing off" and looks like it is slightly charred, being the Fuel pump is connected to this relay the fuel pump dies and so does car. Do I need to make it tighter? The 30amp fuse is not blowing, what gives?

That just looks like a relay. I'd make sure all the wires are on with a good connection.

It doesn't look like you used a harness for the relay. I would recommend using one to make sure it stays put, but not using a harness does work too.

So if I just make sure it's on "tighter" it wont cause a fire or anything? Thats my only concern, I thought maybe it was coming off because too much voltage/amperage, but I checked my logs and battery is constant 14v and none of the 30 amp Fuses blew.

Just make sure that wire isn't being tugged on and that it is solidly on there. You're just over thinking it man.

ok, will do. I wanted to take it to the track tomorrow, bought a helmet and fire jacket

one last thing.

It was decently tight, and not really loose but still came off, if I really secure it, its not going to short anything or cause fire/battery to blow up right?

PS was playing with the relay, and noticed one of the connections is not connected to anything?, its all black, does
the relay needed to be grounded

Are you saying that the plug disconnected? Current won't "blow off" a plug. If you're describing what I think you are, it's just vibrating loose. Take pliers and crimp it together better.

FYI...they sell vibration resistant crimp connectors, if you want to get fancy.
