Thumbs up Wideband reading strange

I installed a brand new aem wideband gage and o2 sensor on my car this weekend. However during driving the wideband seems to read really lean. My car is completely stock except for test pipe and cai. I plan on installing my turbo kit next week, but first I want to see if the wideband is working correctly. After start up it shows afr around 14 to 15. Also the thing seems to fluctuate alot, +/- 1 afr, depending on throttle, somtimes it goes as far as 18 when I am at low throttle, this cant be correct. At normal driving it reads between 14 and 15, and at wot it reads between 12 and 13. Also sometimes when I let completely off the throttle it goes all the way to 18 and then give 3 bars that look like - - - . Does this sound normal for an aem wideband, am I worrying for nothing? thanks . Oh one last thing, I live at 5000 feet so running lean is hard to do with the factroy ecu. I think most of the time cars at this elevation run rich especialy in open loop.

Yup, the car runs very lean when just tooling about town. It's when you hammer it that you should worry about. Also, why do you have an AFR gauge on a stock car?

Thanks guys, I guess I was worrying for nothing. My emanage ultimate came in today, it's the last part of my turbo build. Im going to install it tonight and see if I can lean out the wot afr a little. Im thinking I will start the turbo install this weekend. Does anybody know a good tuner in Sacramento area?

How lean are you talking? The car should be perfect as-is until you boost it.
