Default Will I be Satisfied?

Well Currently i am running 7psi on the ctsc.

in the near future i have plans to extract more power out of my car.
I was thinking since i already have the SC.. just build from there.
Go with a 14psi pulley with ems, injectors and all the goodies.

My Question is, For those of you with experiance, is it worth the efforts to run that high of boost on the SC.. or should i just go turbo, since im going to be buying standalone and everything.

for those of you that boosted on 7psi, then upgraded to 12-14 with the supercharger.. was all the extra worth it, is what im trying to ask here. Were you satisfied with the resaults, or would you have just went turbo if u were to do it all over again.

any opinions comments whatever.. feel free to chime in. (and please dont take this as a turbo vs SC thread.. its not)

thanks alot
nick

I personally have pushed the Vortech to it's limit at 18psi. It makes the car very competitive with the turbo down low and much more powerful with manageable power up top.

Very satisfied with the results.

I feel much more torque down low(3000rpm+) while it still retains stock-like drivablity.
Also no-lag and very managable power thru out the all power band.
It feels way too fast for most street/highway.
I will post some videos up later.

It idles much better than stock or stock SC, also it give pretty good gas mileage too.

14psi is the max out of the CTsc correct? without getting mass amounts of belt slip
what size pulley would put me there withe the comptech kit?

I took my Comptech to 8psi with the AEM and injectors before going turbo.

I'm sure you can get great results with smaller pulleys but nothing will change the fact that with the centrifugal SCs whatever your peak boost is, it'll be half that at 4500. With a turbo wastegates and boost control mean you choose what psi you run pretty much anywhere along the curve.

And lag is a myth that comes from wannabe drag racers with oversized turbos.

If I was you I'd skip the pulley's and AEM and all that, get 4.57's instead. Besides making your car quite a bit quicker, if you add the comptech SC'r your diff is less likely to explode.

There's a deal going on the Group buy section where they send you a completed diff with the comptech reinforce and 4.57's all put together for 1365 give or take.
