I've been driving S2000's since late 1999. First one stayed NA, second was SC'd, now my third is Turbo'd....in my almost 12 years of ownership I have never blown a fuse in the main under hood fusebox.

I blew a fuse a couple weeks ago when installing my new SPAL fans, and thankfully didn't need to pull the fender off to change a fuse. I know what you're saying, but it wasn't worth it to me, so i put the fuse box in the passenger compartment.

That's a good (probably better) alternative. Did you have to cut and extend a lot more wires to put it in the footwell?

Having the extra harness made it substantially easier. The most annoying part was completely breaking down the wiring harness to its most basic part, but after that, most wires were easily moved around and maybe 20-25 wires needed to be extended. Finding a place to put the fusebox in the passenger compartment was a little annoying, but that worked itself out in the end as well. I didn't want any wire to show in the engine compartment, so the extension of the extra wires and then the movement of the fusebox to the passenger compartment was a logical step. If you plan on doing this, PM me and ill give you some pointers. Sorry for hijacking the thread.

A little tip for cutting the an lines. Use a decent size zip tie and pull it tight right where you want to cut. I cut mine at the shop with a normal air grinder and cutoff wheel. The zip tie holds the braids together tight and allows a clean cut. Affer cutting just push the end right on and the tie will slide back with the fitting. Works very well

If you're still having problems with the return line, check out the AQP socketless stuff. Thats what I used and its super easy with no leaks. the only tool needed is to tighten the hose to the motor and turbo.
