Inline FTMFW, I can't wait to turbo my car once I finish college!
You must not be paying back your student loans yet. I got done with college summer 2006 and tell myself the same thing every time I write a check to the government.

I don't have any loans for school, I just go to a community college untill I get my associates so it is all paid for before I even start the semester. Once I finish school I will have about 2 years of payments left and I should have enough to pay it off the summer after I graduate then I plan to turbo it that winter. I have planned ahead and have thought about how I will pay for it and everything, and none will be on a credit card thats fro damn sure!

Congrats man! You must be over the moon. I just wish I can go from NA to turbo overnight without having the stress of installing it myself The parts are just staring at me begging to be installed..

So it's ok for someone that makes money off you for some work they do to also charge you tax so you can pay for their tax? I don't think that's legal. I think only the government is allowed to charge tax on labor and that would be your income tax.

Am I wrong?

My dad has his own business and he is not allowed to charge tax on labor to his customers, he can only charge tax on the goods he sells to them.

yeah i am pretty sure its ok, think of it this way. say if someone charges you 150 for an intake. then they charge you 50 for the install. say they charge tax on both the part and the install. they are charging you tax on both the product and the service. just because labor is intangible doesn't mean it shouldn't be taxable. just like the product, service is something they are providing for you. ah, i am thinking about it but can't put it into words. can someone help me with this? and what do you mean pay for their tax? and the seller is making money off of the product to, as in they get it for a price then up it a little to make a profit. so are you saying they shouldn't charge tax on the product itself because there is a markup?
