Inline FTMFW, I can't wait to turbo my car once I finish college!
You must not be paying back your student loans yet. I got done with college summer 2006 and tell myself the same thing every time I write a check to the government.

since when can't you charge tax on labor? as for as long as i can remember its perfectly fine. i know you can't charge tax on food or clothing here in PA, maybe in your state its different
Am I wrong?
My dad has his own business and he is not allowed to charge tax on labor to his customers, he can only charge tax on the goods he sells to them.
yeah i am pretty sure its ok, think of it this way. say if someone charges you 150 for an intake. then they charge you 50 for the install. say they charge tax on both the part and the install. they are charging you tax on both the product and the service. just because labor is intangible doesn't mean it shouldn't be taxable. just like the product, service is something they are providing for you. ah, i am thinking about it but can't put it into words. can someone help me with this? and what do you mean pay for their tax? and the seller is making money off of the product to, as in they get it for a price then up it a little to make a profit. so are you saying they shouldn't charge tax on the product itself because there is a markup?
