I have been working on getting some kind of tranny solution for my car along with ScorpioMk to put more power to the ground. I have been working with Mazworx who has developed an adapter plate for the 350z tranny to go up to our block. This transmission is very stout and the 05-06 have the upgraded triple synchros. We are currently working out the details on the clutch setup at the moment and will address driveshaft and shifter location thereafter. They have also developed a pilot bearing adapter to use the factory 350z pilot bearing with the s2000 flywheel. Here are some pics just to show you guys what I am working on.

 

Just some quick calculations for gears:

Gearbox: s2000

Tire:- 265/35/18

Top Gear gives 17.710 MPH/1000 RPM and a top speed of 159.393 MPH at 9000 RPM

Engine speeds in top gear:-
30 MPH = 1694 RPM 40 MPH = 2259 RPM 50 MPH = 2823 RPM 60 MPH = 3388 RPM
70 MPH = 3952 RPM 80 MPH = 4517 RPM 90 MPH = 5082 RPM 100 MPH = 5646 RPM

Top Speed in 1 gear = 41.209 MPH
And changes into 2 gear at 5875 RPM dropping 3125 RPM
Top Speed in 2 gear = 63.134 MPH
And changes into 3 gear at 6518 RPM dropping 2482 RPM
Top Speed in 3 gear = 87.176 MPH
And changes into 4 gear at 7055 RPM dropping 1945 RPM
Top Speed in 4 gear = 111.204 MPH
And changes into 5 gear at 7519 RPM dropping 1481 RPM
Top Speed in 5 gear = 133.101 MPH
And changes into 6 gear at 7515 RPM dropping 1485 RPM
Top Speed in 6 gear = 159.393 MPH

Top Speed in 1 gear = 39.474 MPH
And changes into 2 gear at 5513 RPM dropping 3487 RPM
Top Speed in 2 gear = 64.443 MPH
And changes into 3 gear at 6289 RPM dropping 2711 RPM
Top Speed in 3 gear = 92.220 MPH
And changes into 4 gear at 7044 RPM dropping 1956 RPM
Top Speed in 4 gear = 117.833 MPH

~ $1900 expected for me but by no means a final figure

That is a beefy looking trans for sure, no fitment issues in the tunnel? What’s this trans weigh compared to S2000?
