Is it worth the $5,300.00

I have been trying to convince myself that it is worth it as well but I keep going back and forth...I love the car the way it is now and that makes it hard to justify going fi
[QUOTE=JoeyBalls,Jan 22 2008, 11:24 AM] I hear ya, but the car is a blast to drive, looks great, handles great, but lets face it with all of these cars coming off the line today with 350+HP in sedans, the S2000 just can't keep up.

if u need the power to not be embarrassed then by all means go for it...for me its whether or not it would improve the driving feel and dynamics of the car and in that regard..its a tough choice...any "yuppie" can stomp on a gas pedal, it takes a man to appreciate the other aspects of driving...not saying you don't
Also, its not about "racing" every single minivan and BMW 3 series to the exit or onramp. I can't even really put into words the sheer adrenaline rush you feel, when your tired "old" car can suddenly do things on the drive to work that were not possible before. Its a kind of FUN that has no equal other than sex. Also, no one is forcing you to start a street race every time somebody in a bmw looks at you funny. I let people in obviously slower cars aggressively pass me and egg me on nearly every day, but I do nothing stupid in return. There is just a certain peace of mind knowing I "could" drop the hammer if I wanted to. This is just one of the reasons that you never see a ferrari driver leave the slow lane. Its a little frustrating knowing you can't do anything even if you were immature enough to want to, if that makes any sense. I'd go through the extreme headaches, issues and expense all over again if I had to. Try and get a ride in an FI S2000, or even drive one and see for yourself.
[QUOTE=parkerdw,Jan 22 2008, 08:11 AM] I drove my car nearly stock from 1999 - 2007 as a daily driver. I was entirely satisfied with the handling and the power for nearly all of those years, but in my case after almost a decade with the same car, and a slowly dwindling power curve (all things age as 195 whp became 185 whp) it was finally time to "reinvent" the car. In fact, you sound like you might be an ideal Greddy turbo candidate like me, since you are really satisfied with your stock car, but in the back of your mind you wonder if there is something not too drastic you can do to make it an even better car.

Parkerdw: I clearly understand what you are saying...I had the chance to ride in a 400whp turbo'd S and nearly soiled my knickerbockers when he got on it...i was smiling like a virgin getting to third base...I would be interested in getting a ride in a greddy'd car but I don't believe anyone near me has one...there mostly all inlinepro...
joeyballs: i know you didn't mean literally racing it was a joke missing the lol...and i know the exact feeling you mean but fortunately for me I purposely drive the backroads to work where hp means nothing and balance/control mean a lot...so that gets my blood going...
I'm just a sissy and don't want to fubar anything on the car especially since I'm happy...for the time being...I also have not owned the car for a long time either

to anyone who has been following my dilemma, looks like I am going to do the Greddy Kit, and go through GTMotoring.com. I will have it installed and tuned by CLM in Jersey, they have a slew of 9 second Honda's, so I have faith that they know what they are doing. Im going to do a High-Flow cat, Spugen exhaust (good price, great reviews), no need for EMS, comes with it, and anyone have any suggestions for a good BOV. Thanks for your insight fellas, lookng forward to the Greddy Kit

I have Greddy Type RS Blow Off Valve, and it sure does look and sound nice when used with the Greddy kit.
