S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Is it worth the $5,300.00

oh boy....forget that..looks like the best "all-around" option will be the Vortech Supercharger. Will I need to get it tuned if I bolt it on with headers/high-flowcat/ and an exhaust?

take it to a dyno after install.
I will, but in the interm, will I do any damage if I run it hard without getting it tuned. When I bolt on the kit the only other mods I will have is Header, H-Flow Cat, and an exhaust

There are a good amount of SC guys who thought they were fine with just an exhaust and tp...they ended up scoring their cylinder walls.

Don't risk a 5,000 dollar engine, spend the 50 dollars and get it checked on a dyno before you regret everything you just did.

I don't know how you can say reliability is stellar, whenever there is like a beta tester and no actual production kits on the market yet.
Justin -- We have run several cars for more than a year without a problem and run the cars on the chasis dyno non-stop for weeks on end. Additionally, we do much of our development on our engine dyno, testing all sorts of scenarios. I am quite confident that we are taking steps few other after-market companies have even considered, much less have the means to consider. The kits go on sale shortly and will not disappoint anyone looking for amazing performance and reliability.

I guess 10 years from now we can have this discussion or you can look at what Oscar Jackson has been doing for the last 30+ years and realize that your car is in good hands.

After a *lot* of soul-searching, I elected to go with a 9psi Vortech. I personally feel that 9psi is as high as you'd want to go with the stock compression and still retain long-term (ie over 100k miles) reliability.

Also, I prefer to maintain the stock-like more revs= more power nature of the motor. Just my preference.

I realize you can lower the c/r with a head gasket, but I feel it is a "ghetto" solution as it messes up the quench area. It does work, though.

When the engine lets go (it has 60k), I'll have it properly redone by Laskey/Endyn with boost in mind. I'm thinking a 500+whp 2.3L stroker. By then, I'll be out of the USAF and will have the $ to do it right.

Just so you know, I ended up spending about $14k on just the motor and driveline mods (that's everything, including an entirely new 4.57 pumpkin, EMS, radiator, gauges, etc etc). But, then again, I like to do things right...

I have been extemely happy with my vortech. I think I ended up talking the guy down at superchargersonline.com down to 4600 last year. Just find some other prices and they will price match what you get. The kit drives just like stock requires no tuning just wanna check your afr on a dyno and thats it your set. Have not had to do one thing to the car since the install except spark plugs and oil changes. I even installed it myself was very simple and well explained in the installation manual.

I have been trying to convince myself that it is worth it as well but I keep going back and forth...I love the car the way it is now and that makes it hard to justify going fi
