well I ran into a little bump in the road yesterday. I have been fighting a wiring problem with one of my fans and I had to take some of the piping off because its tucked so well lol. Turns out there was a lot of oil pooled post turbo. I pulled everything and examined the turbo and ends up it needs to be rebuilt.

now I am a huge fan of borg warner turbos... so don't run out and tell everyone how bad their turbos are! I feel like I have done everything right in my build so far and have taken pretty good care of the turbo (warm up, cool down, fresh oil). I think I just got unlucky with this one, hopefully after the rebuild everything will be golden again

I had a long conversation with WORKturbochargers.com and he recommended that I switch to a -12 return line for safety. I boxed it up and got it out today but he told me that he would wait and see how it looks before he recommends anything different with my oil feed size.

Kind of down that the turbo failed within a couple thousand miles, but I am SO glad that I caught it before something serious happened.

fun part is taking that damn timing cover off again to weld on another bung

hope everyone is having a good summer- get your car on the road while its warm out!

hello peoplessss. its been forever since I have posted in my own thread! ran into a problem today that I am a bit stumped on.

I recently purchased a AEM fuel pressure sensor. I ended up buying a cool fitting I came across an mounted it on the firewall side of the fuel rail where the feed comes in.

the part I am struggling with is the wiring... it seems pretty straight forward but AEM is NOT liking it. I wired the signal into ACDR11 (C something...), 5v reference (D6) and sensor ground (D9).

When I start the car it runs awful! while talking to my tuner I tried plugging and unplugging the sensor and it is clearly the cause of my problems.

engine load (psig) goes way up when the sensor is plugged in, while unplugged load goes back to normal.

any ideas? I hate the thought of getting some idiot on the phone at AEM again..(I am a noob but theyre on a whole different level)

bonus shot from the show at MIR WCF last weekend. met a few fellow S bros!

ADCR11 is pin C6. Did you activate the Fuel Pressure Analog Input in the AEM itself? The default is 'None'
