Hmmm well since this is the way I went....I just gotta say you will get very good at shifting fast. I sometimes which i had the stock gears back but other times it's fun to get through gears in no time. So all in all I'm still glad i have them :-)

Pardon if I deviate slightly off topic..evf2000, you sig states 15lbs of boost on a Vortech..two questions, Isn't the max 14lbs?? Also, what size pulley would generate this?

Ok, one more...4.57 in the rear?? (no pun intended)

pulley is 3.8 which is normally 14 or 14.5 or so ...but I have a redline of 9600 so I see 16psi at the top end.

The Vortech supercharger is out of it's efficient range at those speeds and heats the air more. The effective horsepower produced at 16 psi is less that the hp produced at 14 psi. I tested mine and watched the power drop or not increase as the superchrger spun over the max. To get more power you need to retrim the supercharger.

This will get you another 5+ psi if you retrim. It moves 200 cfm more.

Back to the topic at hand, If you make enough power low gears are a waste of time and resources. My car is much quicker with the 4.10s now than it was with the lower gears.

Thanks for all the input, I will be getting the 4.57's. All the positive feedback is a plus and yes I will be looking for more boost, but not until some time next year. Thanks again Matt

That's true, but I recall your positive feedback when you were pushing less boost. In your opinion, (which is greatly valued on this board) do you think that if someone was to stay with stock boost settings 4.56 or 4.57's would be the ideal set up?

The 4.56 or 4.57 is a little low in my opinion. Using 4.44s or 4.30s would be just perfect.
