Also what is my success rate with buying a used stock diff and having puddymod build it ? Strength wise ? Pros and cons?

Okay well I'll check it out and let you guys know. I haven't been home or had the time to drain the oil. I probably will today when I'm home. But I'm almost positive it's my diff

the cheapest solution for your power level only being in the 400s that should NOT break again is a puddymod built differential.

Anything else will be more expensive (besides simply replacing your diff with an oem one) and the 8.8's and stuff like that i think are a little overkill for the power you're running.

puddymod should be your answer

A fully done up puddy diff will run you more than $3000.. may as well do the ford 8.8, have cheap easy to find replacement parts, a better driveshaft and better axles.

How much trq you have and how hard you put it to the diff will dictate how long before this happens.

If you don't do anything, at least get an ap2 diff to replace since it has thicker end caps over the ap1.
If money is a problem then +1 on this idea.

If not, get the Puddymod stage 2 diff or Ford 8.8
