1st
My first engine was the original to this chassis. It had 40k miles and was an '01 with the older oil jets. I ran a stock comptech supercharger with AC and ran it lean over one night and scored a cylinder.

2nd
I put in a used bottom end and reused my old head, running an AEM EMS, 3mm headgasket and a 3inch pulley, making 14psi at 9500 rpms. This motor lasted 3k miles as the people putting it together, and myself missed a sunken retainer on the intake side, which resulted in a dropped valve, grenading the bottom end and head. This retainer was more than likely damaged from an earlier owner, as i had never miss shifted a gear or over revved the car. The block and head Make great paper weights, boat anchors or yard accoutrements.

3rd
The 3rd motor was a f22, and had been turboed for 15k before i bought it. This motor now has about 65k miles of boost on it, revving to at least 8500 the entire time. It has made 380whp, 420whp, 475whp on 3 seperate 3mm headgaskets and between 300-365ft/lbs of torque. I have driven the piss out of this motor and the motor still has compression within 3% in each cylinders. I recently went back to stock compression and am making 448whp and 302ft/lbs of torque and the motor still feels strong and idles normally. I daily drove this car for 3 years with this motor, including 450 mile trips to see a girlfriend and 250 mile runs up to Boston to see college buddies. The motor never left me stranded, only with a two step launch at island drag way and a grenading rear end did i need i need a tow. The former being a broken axle, and the latter being 30 yards from my house.

Stock f20c turbo 320hp over 100k miles last 8k boosted. Rings went bad and screwed the block. I now have an F22 with a supertech built head that I just got running again last night so hopefully this one will last.

Not a crazy build, but boosted nonetheless....

2003, Greddy Kit, 300hp/220tq. Stock motor, test pipe, HKS exhaust. Runs flawlessly in any weather. Car has 42K on it, last 4K (one year) being boosted.

Why did you upgrade/replace your oil jet bolts?

Why did you rebuild your block initially?

original engine was scored on #4 cylinder while participating in a group drive while i was N/A

low oil + older oil jet bolts + high speed driving + high speed curves = expensive way to learn to check oil level everyday

Thanks to everyone who has contributed thus far.

I know sometimes we don't like to admit our failures, but this helps everyone in the long run I think.

I'd also like to post up some other setups, some high whp setups if anyone can remember them, or knows the posts.

I know Kuju...and Fullblown had some solid numbers, Rob!, and Andy for a while.

Maybe someone that knows them, can chime in.
