04 Mazdaspeed MX-5
If everybody claims that the miata was intended for turbo use, way back in the early 90's the engine came from car with a turbo on it. Is this thing more or less powered than a miata customed with an aftermarket turbo on it?

That was a stupid, ignorant lame comment that does nothing but make you look as intelligent as your accusation.
I read my post a few times and found nothing stupid, ignorant or lame about it. It was not disrespectful in any way either. I didn't say anything bad about anybody..... maybe you should read your own post again.
Here are some pictures of my miata! Heres some info on it and me aswell; the car is a 1995 m-edition miata, the only thing that makes it an 'm-edition' is the limited color. I payed for the car with the money I got from selling a wrecked miata that I fixed over summer vacation! Thats one of the great things about the early miata, its so damn cheap! This car was three and a half grand. For being only 15 years old and this being my second car, I'm stoked!
It's a lot of fun to drive, the gearbox is delicious, its got great balance and feel! I know it's not much compared to the S, but at my age, the S2k is for my dreams. This car fits my budgets and my desires. They are cool!

hehe, I know its not nearly as revvy as your guys' 9k F20C, but I thought it was a cool pic.

the paint on my 95 is still pretty good!

The turbo on the MazdaSpeed Miata is just enough to give the motor a tad more punch, its not a vast increase in horsepower. You can get some turbo kits for around the same price as a supercharger that run 12 psi and THEY ARE FAST!

Mazdaspeed Miata (MSM) is MUCH LESS powered than one with an aftermarket turbo (ie. Flyin' Miata [FM] turbos). FM turbo kits can put down >240 RWHP. The original engine block in the NA6 (1st gen Miata) was designed from the Mazda's turbocharged 323 GTX. Between the MSM and the FM kits, I would take the FM kit for more power. MSM's only advantage is the warranty. FM kits are pretty reliable. And their intercoolers are larger than the toaster the MSM came with.

Here's what an aftermarket turbo can do:

As you can see, the base kit makes about 190whp and 180ft-lb torque. Flying Miata ( www. flyingmiata.com ) makes kits that put out about 250whp. I've driven a 250whp Miata and it was pretty insane. It was a mid 12 second car.
I just came from a 01 Miata. A wreck and a really nice insurance check later I got the S.. But not a day goes by I dont miss my miata.
Miata was a name brought out just for the US. It's an acronym for "Make It A Topless Afternoon".
