Has anyone installed the AEM CAI into a s2000 with the J's Racing Lip?

Looks like the J's circular intakes might need some slicing up to accomodate for the AEM...

Nice pix, I just ordered my AEM CAI in red despite the loss of low end.. because I LOOOOOVE the roar of the CAI and miss it from when I had it on my Si... it was like a friggin narcotic... just couldn't get enough..

BTW phantom, you have an exhaust right? Think that might be contributing to a bigger loss of low-end?

DouglaS2000,

Thanks!

I like the red AEM...looks nice. Where did you get the impression that the AEM decreases the low end on our cars?

Yes, I have a JS Racing exhaust also...from what people say, the decrease of backpressure may have hurt my low end.

Just from observations that others who have already installed the CAI made. Plus having experience with other CAI's such as the one I had on my Si, I figured that was the inherent nature of aem.

Right now, I am driving around with my intake cover off till I get the CAI. And MAN, that alone sounds amazing.. roaring through a tunnel at WOT.... Pure E C S T A C Y~

Very nice bunch of pics. Just received mine today. Pics will be most helpful when I do the install. Just wondering. Do you think the JR filter would fit in that space instead of the one that came with the AEM? I may try to modify it a bit to see if it will fit - a bit larger surface area for air to get in.
