All Motor S2k With Itb's
What makes me skeptical is the fact that our stock intake manifold is so well designed in the first place. It's been stated time and time again that guys have gotten zero gains with it being extrude honed. 30rwhp is a lot of hp from just ITB and tuning from an engine that is damn near maxed out to begin with.
As for the M3 we can take it from both perspectives.
I might be wrong so someone correct me. A stock new generation M3 runs what? 5 secs 0-60? So tell me topfuel, was year was your friends M3? Convertible or Coupe? Manual or SMG? If it was a new gen M3, I maintain that driver skill can make a difference against a modded s2000 with 4.77s. But now that I reread his post. He claims he blew the doors off the M3. How likely is that? from 30rwhp if you want to take the other side of the coin?
I'll tell you what I don't like about his claims.
This is the same guy who came on in August saying the car felt like
when he drove it with the original ITBs. Now he's telling us it wasn't all that. Consistency is all I ask.

POWER I don't know anymore then most people on this board. What I do know is that somethings don't make sense.
Here's his original thread. Where he says he was going to post dyno numbers but as we inquired more. It's been over 2 months and I've still yet seen a baseline and after dyno. Even though his friend owns a dyno.

Sorry, Alex. No offense intended. Your credibility around here is not that great after the whole "Dad's new Mercedes pics" debacle. And we have yet to see pics of the Nissan van with the twin-turbo 300Z motor swap. What's the deal?
Sorry about hijacking the thread, topfuel. Carry on!!

As I've said many times before, and I'm saying right now, I find all this "proof by pictures" to be a bit trivial. If you're in the Houston area, I'd be more than happy to meet up. Just give me a heads up, or we can trade info via PM. Until then, there won't be any pics.

Thhe funny thing about alex's claims re the power increase due to spoon cams, is that the only "dyno" chart that I have ever seen of these cams (albeit in prototype form) was the one displayed on the video "Hot Version".
