Interesting and impressive but lets see the Carrera Gt or the Ferrari's motor in the electric car's shell and then see who wins.

I'd still vote on the WrightSpeed EV (electric Ariel Atom).

damn that thing is fast, but the porsche and ferrari sound sweat. why was there a rolling start for the CGT race?

Whatever, the top speed of the EV is only 112mph. Too slow to be of any use on a racetrack with that kind of acceleration. The car was featured on Daily Planet - a Discovery Canada show.

I think the EV Atom would do awesome on Hill climb type events. Peak torque@0 rpm with electric motors. Theres an article in Racecar Engineering this month about an electric Caterham-looking car.

I believe that was the 1/4 time with 11.xx seconds.

Very interesting on that torque spec. I'd like to learn more about electric motors. Hopefully the progress them in the future so heavier cars can perform well with them.
