I like it because it filters the air without taking up so much space.

Props for doing and documenting this project. I know you mentioned your take on high dollar intakes, along with others that have their "claims" and R&D, but i guess i am one of those people who cares about what a product is doing for the engine. Can you give any feedback on feel or power benefits?
i don't know about power gains, but the benefit is lighter weight and free more space. If you want to get into the details, the mandrel bend angles, angles of the couplers, the weather, tire pressure, and more will change the power.

they actually have one specifically designed for the s2000. looks really tempting actually. i can imagine it as a sort of ram air if you make a funnel like thing next to the hole to the side of the radiator that lets air into the engine bay. ideas... ideas
part number# CDASP-45

the reasoning is justified. the outcome is sexy and inexpensive? there is really no way to go wrong here. great write up waiting for dyno results

i don't believe in dynos
u can do so much to a stock s2k motor and gain so little. on top of that mother nature affects the power by alot.

the s2k specific intake by BMC is lousy imo. it actually ISN'T s2k specific if you think about it. they use stock parts.

BMC builds really nice stuff for bikes, they are pretty much the standerd when it comes to high flow filters on sportbikes. More importantly, How does it sound?

I'm not a huge fan of the one that is supposedly s2000 specific but I really like this custom one.
