Breaking in my S2000 properly (Huge Burnout)!!!!
Hey guys I thought that you would all like this. I just got my car about a week ago but it has been to cold to mess around with it. I finally got a warm day so we went and shot some video. This is in the drive way to my store and needless to say I burnt some rubber off the nitto nt555r in the rear. I cant tell you guys how great this car is, I just got rid of a WRX and was able to get this. Thanks. Enjoy!!!

When you say breaking in, I hope your are referring to something other than the 1000 mile period you are supposed to keep the revs below 5500 rpms. Soooo what kind of tires you plan on buying next Cool video.

I took that vid for Steve and what you don't see is my friend Mike running behind me when he saw that the car turned towards us, I laughed my ass off for an hour! Another thing you dont see is the cops come and talk to us about what the hell he was doing.

i have a question, how do you do a burn out and keep the car from moving forward? do you just step on the brake on the gas at the same time? i know front wheel drives use the e-brakes, but we cant do that cut our e-brake engages on the rear wheel correct?

Yes you are correct. What you do is rev it up slide your foot off the clutch and quickly on to the brakes. You can't push to hard or they will slow down the rear wheels, so you have to balance the brake pressure between enough to keep the car from rolling forward and not to much so the rear wheel doesnt slow down.
One thing to keep in mind is while burnouts look cool, they are harsh on your car if you do them frequently. Holding down the brakes doesn't help your rear brake pad wear, not to mention wear on your tires! If your a big fan of doing burnouts you should consider a line lock. Line locks lock your front wheels only so your rears are free to spin. I'm not sure if anyone makes them for the S2000 but you never know.

If you like burnouts get a Camaro SS, Firebird WS6 or Mustang GT/Cobra. The neat thing about the video is that it is SOMEONE ELSES car. I personally wouldn't put my car through this. It's meant to be DRIVEN. IMHO of course.

cool thanks for showing me. the reason i wanted to learn is because when im at the drag strip, i never knew how to wash the tires out on the water. i would always end up just rolling through the water and getting massive wheel hop of my launch.
