although he's obviously a bitter fanboi who's car is an accesssory like a purse, rather than a vehicle for driving...i do appreciate the idea:

why are there soooo many companies copying the mugen style?
why aren't there other hardtop designs? you have the OEM, the amuse, the mugen, and the spoon...
the amuse is very similar to the OEM and the spoon is useless.

oh well. you shoulda got the OEM hardware... for everything, it'll be like $1200, but that gives you all of the OEM hardware and seals. the rear seal is $185... you could use a seal from autozone for $30 that'll save ya $150... which puts you at the same prize as the IIGQ? hardware.

for s2kdude:

the top is fully bolted down, bottom gaps will be filled by the lower hardtop seal, front corners being pointy can be sanded as desired (by pointy i meant that it stabs into the front seal a bit), so not too much of an issue regarding fitment as everything looks fine, i had bigger skepticism over the iigq kit being sufficient but it appears adequate.
sorry dood but ive been installing tops for people on here for a while now.. including multiple on mine.. the seal isnt going to fill that gap.. the seal is about a 1/4 of an inch tall.. its also not going to push the top outwards on the sides..

youre going to have massive amounts of windnoise and prob a good amount of water leaking thru during wash or rain. i heard that after the chaser aero co took over cwings that they changed the mold.. i guess not.

mugen>vis>cwings.. even if they cwings are cheaper i still wouldnt buy that crap. they had a bad name a few years ago and they come back now hopign everyone forgot about that i guess haha.

i do like iigqs hardware.. i saw some on a friends car recently.. cheap knock offs of the oem hardware but still way over priced it looks like.

to the OP.. sorry i hope u dont take any of this personal. i would be pissed if i paid over 1k for something and it fit like that. i hope u can make it work out for u.

I have the iigq hardware, if the design didn't change in the last year or so, your softtop will NOT close. It will hit the brackets. Although it's nice to have the 2 piece hardware but it still rattled like no other. I ended up getting OEM hardware.

I agree with most of "the s2k dude"'s comments in this thread. Listen to him, he is right.
