can you close the softtop or does it hit the side brackets?
seems as though this wouldn't hit with them.
xoz: i just trimmed the rail and used scissors to cut the brushes, it gave enough clearance.
shehatezme: i installed the iigq hardware with the soft top closed and it appears the brackets don't interfere with the operation (the iigq hardware is the first two pictures on the first page if you'd like to compare to what you received) but i won't find out operation (up/down) until i take off the hardtop (after paint).
s2kdude: we'll just have to see what the sides look like upon completion, if the gap is too large i'll just get a thicker seal, also my garage is little so i can't exactly get a side view perspective (only a zoomed in view or an angled view) but the gap visually hasn't bothered me yet (so no self kicking going on), summer i'm top down most of the time (not a hardcore hardtopper) and so this top doesn't exactly have to be a showstopper.
driven: regarding the price of the iigq hardware, $0, it was free/included (not the $600 retail price listed on the iigq site) so choosing between oem/iigq wasn't considered, not to mention your proposal for $1200 for oem hardware is a bit more than the $0 i paid for iigq.
