I want to try and find an opportunity to do some "technical" illustrations like the ones you can see on site like the Formula 1 site, i love that kind of work when it comes to cars etc.

here is a little part of the next image i think i will do

just good old Photoshop CS2, nice big high resolution images,

and a Glorious 6x11 Wacom Intuos 3, the greatest tool I have ever used, and just a tiny bit of skill. The Wacom pretty much does it by itself

what was fun about this though is that I just used 2 different brushes on this image, one 8 pixel brush for the lines and one nice big brushy looking brush for the color.

with the pressure sensitivity of the tablet you can get the great effect with the line work, i think thicker lines might add a little something i will see how that looks.

i think the lines could be sketchier as well.

what people don't understand I think about Photoshop, with the right tools and skill, an image can be completely un separated from a physical drawing painting, except for the fact that it doesn't really exist in the physical world.
