Actually, pnty drpr (Rob) left the running light bulb out. I bought PIAA Ion Yellow bulbs for my running lights. They have a better contrast against the yellow paint than amber. The only bulb that doesn't match is the blinker bulb. They blink white and don't look that good with the HID's on. I'm still working on that though. I think I found some yellow bulbs to replace the clear blinker bulb. The blinker bulb isn't a standard type bulb, or atleast I can't find any amber bulb that will replace it.

I went with all clear bulbs, and S2K-F8 has the amber ones in as the driving lights(the little bulbs under the turn signal). He tried to install amber ones in as the turn signal, but we could not find one that would fit. The opening to get the bulb in there was too small. He is still looking around for one.

He got the PIAA amber bulbs, and they look really good. They compliment the yellow paint very well.

I kept it all clear, to match the white car a little better. I tried different ones, and this looked best. I actually disconnected the lower driving bulbs under the turn signal becasue the contrast between that and the HIDs was too great. With the headlights on and the little clear
driving lights on, it looked bad. I even tried to put the PIAA HID clear bulbs in there. Looked closer to the HID head lights, but still yellowish in comparison.

LOL, cool guys. I'm glad that I am not the only one with taste, some of the Civic guys are real freaks. With their crazy tail lights and crappy lowering jobs. I am happy that the people on this board actually want performance and good looks, not rice.

Yeah if anyone finds an amber replacement for the 7440 (Front Turn) let me know. I have the JDMs and the white flashers bite.

SilverStreak do you have the JDMs or the European headlights? I heard that the JDMs should not be used because they are aimed differently. I am trying to get a pair of European headlights but MG Racing says it would take 3-4 weeks to get them in so maybe JDMs might be the way to go if the aiming can be adjusted. Where did you get your JDMs?

no. it's only the housing that you replace, not the JDM HID system. from what i heard/read, you basically take out your current HID box and you put it on the new housing. i'm pretty sure i'm not wrong about this.

You guys are both mostly right...

There are two assemblies you can buy from Honda Japan (JDM). One is the JDM, and one is the JDM Euro Spec. JDM default spec assemblies are pointed the wrong way because of the switched drive side. However, the JDM euros are the same assemblies just pointed in the right direction. It is extremely important that you buy the JDM Euro Spec, or you will blind EVERYONE on the left side of the road...

I bought the JDM Euros. They came in the Honda OEM parts box with all the text in Japanese. I was with great wood when I took possession... They rock. Tim Ham of Import Development (Tims2k) has a few in stock as well as the side markers. NJOY!

BTW, I found all the replacement Japanese amber bulbs as well to complete the conversion. See my thread in Group Buys

There's a shop in Anaheim, California, that does the whole job for $120 ($140 with hyper-white bulbs) in 3 hours. I just had it done and it looks great on my silver, especially with the clear side markers. Search for "Generation One."

I didn't care for the amber tint the front lens pick up from an amber light; in fact, the slight bluish tinge of my hyper whites is just right for the silver S2K.
