custom intake
yeah but i tested it in front of a big industry fan at my job, and theres enough air going through there to push all the hot air out. and also the fans dont turn on unless you have the ac on or your on idle after about one minute.
so its kinda of a not fully hot air but not fully cold air. and its gets rid of the water problem at the same time...

the only problem i see with that is heat soak. I'm working on my own custom cai which will enclose the filter and have a snorkel type addon that will connect to the filter. It's still in the autodesk autocad/inventor stages right now though. I don't want to do this twice...
It looks horrible... and most likely worse than OEM performance wise.
You are much better off keeping the OEM airbox, cut out the divider and a hole on the far end to run the extra tubes in. That way the filter is not exposed to heat from the engine. Looks better too, imo...

holes are too small
get a bigger one and run it where the lights suckets are at.. cant explain it but if you look on the left of your hoses its on the left side.. and you can at least get a bigger hose more airflow...
im guessing your loosing power on that setup... its better to just put your stock and gut it out....
