Wow! I havn't been on this topic for nearly a year. I thought it'd be dead by now.
Your opinion, be good or bad is appreciated. The project and the way it looks has been polarizing, especially when people see pictures of it. When people see it in person at meets and such, I have gotten nothing but praise, so perhapse my pictures are the polarizing aspect of it.
I never thought of the lights to be "ricy" by any means. They are forward shining lights, not ground effects. And they look clean, not overdone or over the top, so to speak. If you want to see something interesting, look at the front veiw of the Honda CR-Z concept car. Oddly enough, they have placed LED strips freakishly close to the same setup as what I had on the concept car.
Unfortunately, that car met a very violent end inside a tunnel. I'm glad and blessed to have walked away without a scratch, but the LEDs (and car for that matter) are gone.
On the other side of things, I was able to save one of the arrays. That being said, I'm planing on doing a V2 of the LED project, but slightly different. This time, I'll be puting them in a Amuse style lip rather than the OE one.

I honestly like what you did but think if you could do a ver.2 that is housed directly under the headlights and follow the lines of the bumper that would look sick!
I'm trying to mold oem led lights onto the bumper but no success so far.

If you want it clean, you'l need to cut INTO your bumper, so keep in mind that if you screw up, you buy a new bumper or you modify your project to cover it up.
My V2 is going to be exactly the same as the old one with the exeption of the chin-spoiler being used. . . . I'm really stubborn in that kinda way.

I would so love these in my05. Either the Js ones, or the audi ones. Someone try it on the brake ducts please.
For the AP2, you could do something like a twin-stack virtical setup in each of your brake ducts.

V2 project in Amuse style lip has begun.
Bought the chin-spoiler today. Lights soon to follow. One array has been salvaged, so it won't cost as much this time around.
Due to the added flexibility of the Amuse replica lip (urethane) I may need to fabricate a couple extra mounting brackets to supplement the 3M tape used to hold it in place. The plus side is that the Amuse lip sticks out further than the OE one, so I have more room to work with.
Redesign of the arrays will almost be necessary for proper look.
But since the groundwork is already there, I don't think it will be as bad.
The chalange for me at the moment is to compress the junction-box. The original weighed a ton and was bigger than it should have been. But I need to connect 30 wire-leads and reduce them to just 2 while keeping it safe from the elements.
