I love the sound of big V-8s. And I think if they would have spent all of their time and money building the engine the Evo comes with, they'd just have another built Evo just like every other built Evo. This one is unique in a good way IMO.

 

Not a fan of the swap, but respect for the amount of work and time neede to make sure it runs. They need to get that blower workin though

 

i always respect the work and effort done. just like i said in the 2jz supra thread. i believe it is unnecessary to do it. also, with the money spent on the swap, you can make that car a lot faster with just the amount of the swap. if it is about power-to-weight, then why do they put the ls1 engine into a heavier car?

 

That swap obviously wasn't about power to weight. Not to mention the 2JZ swap compromises the structural rigidity of the car, or at least how it has been done at this point. (Unless they are now reinforcing the parts they hack away now or have aren't butchering the car as much) There are plenty of good bastard swaps out there, I don't see this as one of them.

 

agreeing with both of you on the power/weight comment concerning this swap. i originally brought it up because of the f20 camaro comment. i just like seeing different stuff like that.

 

i don't think these guys really cared about the money all that much...
