DIY: LED Dash Controls
Haha yeah definetly. You could always use a bigger resistor and might be able to reduce the light a little bit if it bothered you too much.
BTW, did you just use normal red LED's on the climate control module for the dials? If you look at mine the red on the temp shows up more than the blue, and on the selection dial there are some hot spots. The ones currently in my S are all red, but for those 2 I left the stock bulbs and it looks great, but would still rather have them red. I actually just got a deposit on my S though to sell it so no need to do it anymore.

Oops sorry I miss this question!
I used 5mm white leds that I sand and 3mm red leds.
These leds are exactly the same than in the original thread (except for the 5mm leds)
I used 470Ohms resistors for all leds.
Edit:
For more informations:
Regarding the vent position on top right, I used 2 red leds.
One is on the bulb original position, and one is a little down and I oriented it to the surface I wanted to light.

On the picture, the first led is in the top right hole
The second led is in the whole just below (on the right, next to the alone GREEN mark on PCB). It is mounted in parallel with a white led.
And to be totally complete, I used a white led to light the AC on indicator light and I give this the exact same form that is shown on the picture (there are 2 leds alone that are not totally round).

Thanks for adding that to the thread man, I have to say yours definetly look better than mine haha. Mine all looked good except I just couldnt get the climate temp and vent position ones to light up evenly even after sanding the LED's. Yours look all bright and even, great job!.
I still do like mine since I just left the stock blubs in those 2, and the vent position one kinda lights up amber so my red and amber controls go great with the cluster.
