Well I highly doubt the car 'put' him into that predicament. I think we as drivers need to take more responsibility for our own actions anyways. I'm not trying to flame but i've heard so many comments on this board about how the car 'put' them into this predicament. This car has very high limits and the farther you push them the more risk you take. If i ever wreck my S more likely than not operator error played a much greater role in the accident than equipment error.
I'm very sorry to see another S go to the way side... hope the new one feels the same

The accidently could have been avoided had I backed off the throttle and shifted earlier. I let my own enthusiam for driving overcome my better judgement. Sure, if I had some wet/dry tires or VDC, the car would have prevented my stupidity from turning into an accident, but I knew this the moment I bought the S2000, and I knew this the moment I decided to buy my 2nd S2000. As Gan-San from BMI says, the S2000 is a pure sports car. It's purity lies in the fact that it will exaggerate every mistake you make, whether mental or physical; it rewards you for learning control.

I think the best thing to see here is that I walked away. Perhaps it was a higher power that helped me, but I know for a fact that part of it was the S2000's level of safety in a collision or rollover. I hope none of you ever have to test the S2000's safety features, but it is nice to know that it is a car capable of protecting the passengers during a collision.
