And dont worry about a header unless you plan on dishing out $800 or more. Stock will do the job.

Welcome. I too came from a turbo Civic some years back (screenname). But yes, the stock header will do you just fine. As will the factory airbox, and it's almost impossible to hydrolock. Good luck sticking to simple, it's doable but difficult.
