Too lazy to do this yourseff? MajorHavoc has made these in a thin enough plastic that they snap right in and work great. I've had mine in for about 9 months w/no problems and you can't notice them unless you try to clean the honeycomb.

You must be reading my "vibes". I just took the hardtop off a few minutes ago and will be installing the drilled out Rick's full size screen this afternoon. It's supposed to rain in the next day or so, but if I get a chance to give it a run, I'll report back here with what I find -sooner or later.

xviper, have you seen z3s' wind blockers?
i dunno if they still have them for sale in their "parts" department,
you might wanna check that out.

same idea as your "meshed net" solution.
it didn't look goofy and it worked great, when i had my z3.

Yes, that's kinda where I got the idea of the mesh one from. Don't know if that one will be a straight fit over the S's setup but it just didn't look right on my car. Besides, it gets in the way of the secret compartment lid.

Major Havoc has plexi inserts that fit into the headrest pieces that actually work pretty well. I'd imagine this would work even better.

Another great thread, XViper. Thanks.

OK, I just had a chance to go out onto the highway for a "blast" with the new drilled out Rick's full size screen.
I went up to about 90 mph.
With windows down, in the city, the cabin buffetting was much better than pre-drilled.
Windows down, up to about 60 mph, it was "moderately" better.
Windows down, above 60 mph, couldn't tell any difference. It was still quite turbulent in there, BUT still far better than without any devices.
THEN, on the way back at about 80 mph, I put the windows up and MY GAWD! It was like sitting in my living room. In the pre-drilled runs at that speed, there was still a bit of cabin turbulence (windows up).

I think I may have drilled too big of holes. But I just didn't have the patience to drill such tiny little holes and so many more of them. Again, the "mesh" material is still the BEST for this issue.

I'm sure people would like to know what this thing looks like in the rear view mirror. I found the holes to be a bit distracting but I will easily get used to it.
ps. For reference, I'm 5'8".

Plugging the roll hoops will help a lot but you're right, it's a convertible so you'll always have some wind.
