The crank is actually being done at a machine shop by a pro. I am confident it will be right. The ECU will be done this afternoon. The cars hould be done by tonight. I will keep you all posted.
Hey guys did your kits come with a CARB number on them? I noticed on the cover of the instructions is says "legal in CA for racing only, not for use on the highway" what do you think thats all about? Also they say to use 92 octane but in CA all we have is 91 octane, do you think this will still work properly being off by 1 octane? thanks

I think Vortech had to put that Cali disclaimer in order to protect themselves. The chip in my Audi TT came with a disclamer that said "For offroad use only" but we all know that isn't true. It is a way for the manufacturer to protect themselves.
I would check with Vortech on the 91 octane issue. They might say to add octane boost or mix 100 octane fuel, or they may say their electronics package will compensate or they may have you make an adjustment to something in the engine. Best thing to do is contact them because all we can do is speculate. I wouldn't run it on 91 until you talk to them, better safe than sorry.
S2k Power if you go to Vortechs website on this page:
http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/systems/
You will see it says:
"50 State Emission Legal
Each Vortech supercharging system, unless otherwise noted, meets both the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements for classification as 50 state emissions legal under CARB EO # D-213-17"
Hope this helps.

Hopefully not like that.
