You've got to have pretty thick skin to roll wiht a shifter like that... lol. So with that being said, i don't care what you think about the shifter... you haven't driven one, and gotten used to it. I personally think it looks fine in the car (and thats what counts, right?)

If it makes you feel like less of a man, then hey, thats fine... but no need to project yourself like an a-hole Lighten up, have fun... if you can't laugh at something like this, then god help you in life Put your tie back on, get back behind your desk, and shuffle more paperwork or something.

Building up any car is about having fun, right? Well i have fun everywhere i go with this thing, and half of it is watching peoples reaction to the shift knob.. haha! And the ones that HAVE driven with something like this actually wind up liking it <shrug>

Sorry its not JDM enough for you

As for the numbers, they are magnetic, and i had them made by a local sign shop... i think it was like $40 for the pair or something...

haven't you seem the similar knobs circulating the drift world?
Actually, i hadn't... this shift knob was actually originally commissioned by one of the local drifters who wanted something different for his car. So we made it for him, and of course to do it we had to make the mold for it, so now we make more of them

Initially, i had put it in my car to test it for drivability, and to make sure it wouldn't break, or fade, or anything... i hated it at first, and thought it was dumb... jkust like 99% of y'all.. lol! But after driving it for a week, i actualyl enjoyed it a lot more, and i was beginning to see how it was actually easier to drive with the knob in the car, and it made it more fun... so i made one for myself... then when i got the S2k, i had to make one in yellow to match it

Its weird though.. the people that don't like it HATE it, and for some reason it downright offends people (maybe they are intimidated by its size?.... lol)! Its funny though seeing people react to it. but others look at it and like it, either for the looks, or because they agree with me that a longer throw and having higher 'resolution' between gears can actually be a good thing. That, and keeping your other hand up high helps you as well. Its easy to see out of your peripheral, so its easy to get to without taking your eyes off the course or anything.

Each person is comfortable driving with a different setup... me personally, i like long-throw shifters. To each their own...
