GP Fab is a good place to get some dress up pieces, i plan to relocate battery but leave that there to hide the gaping hole

hey guys this is probably the dumbest question ever posted, but what is the purpose of covering up the battery area and master cylinder etc? is it a heat thing? I'm new to all this stuff but love to learn. Looks like your surrounding the engine itself, are you trying to trap the heat or keep it away from the intake or somewhere else? OP is this is a totally retarded question feel free to just delete and sorry to intrude on your thread.
