HyperPM: Eat Your Heart Out!!!
MrMack, you really should get a prize or something.
Anyways, thanks for the entertainment, fellas.
BBS (Bad Boy Style) LMs were and always will be my favorite rim for sports cars. And it IS ironic that I ended up giving up good fitment for the bling. But this bling has a pedigree like none other. As a sports car nut and F1 fan, I could not resist the powers of the BBS legacy and reputation--shod with Potenzas no less.
and the "flames" of the past still ring true. The BBS LMs supposedly made for the S2000 do rub and it feels like i'm walking around barefoot after a hoochie dropped a cocktail glass full of Cosmo in her drunken stupor. the tires/rims are pushed to the very edge of the fender wells which is good for looks, but not so good for the fender lining. you must lower aggressively and setup a minimum of -2 camber in the rear for these beef eating Bad Boy Style rims to not 4x4. i'm going to have to roll the rear fenders and hopefully that takes care of that.
the additional weight is noticeable and outside of the rubbing issue, wantone's impressions thread is spot-on. the steering feels heftier and makes the s2000 feel more teutonic.
but all of these are but minor quibbles everytime i look at my car. it's a whole new ball game with these rims. and i'm realizing that my car is more fun than good fitment and with that, my philosophy will change in the content and the style & manner in which i give out tire/rim fitment advice on this very board.
as long as you know what you're getting into, you're golden.
thank you for your attention in all this goofy stuff. to this end, how can you blame me? just look at 'em!
cheers,
Mike Looooooooooowwweery
