update he also jumped on my roof tearing the soft top and the plastic roll cage cover is busted open behind the seats wow u notice things during the day that u dont at night

I wouldn't worry about the money part... He's probably a student - If his parents are still claiming him as a dependent, they're the ones that will be paying - and parent usually have more money.

Make sure you file an insurance claim and tell them the whole story.... the car will be fixed under your comprehensive coverage and then they'll sue him to recover the cost. You won't really have to be involved much at all.... at least that's what happened with my girlfriend's car, which was damaged in a slightly similiar way.
