most people buy J's for the JDM bling. no bling (awesome build quality) and of course there will be upset customers, it's not exactly a cheap part.

Even the Ti J's exhausts are known for breaking despite their "perfect welds"
X2

I have 2 friends that have J's exhausts;

1. 60rs ti single
2. 60fx ti dual

Both had the welds on their resonators come apart and they had to look for a shop to repair the ti.

J's welds may look great but have had an ongoing problem with the resonators coming apart...

To me, the "J's Racing" name does not mean quality. Race proven parts, but not quality.

It's not the welds that break on the J's Ti exhausts on the resonator. It's the packing being burnt to all hell inside it. It is just a poor design on J's part when they TIG welded the packing core. Basically they did 3-4 tack welds on the inside of the resonator.

any welds will break sooner or later, since exhaust walls are usually thin. Espically on titanium.
When I bought the tracy sport dual exhaust, it has over 5 places where the welds are breaking and resonator was rattling. Note that the exhaust cost $3,500 new. ASM exhaust was known with the resonator rattle also... no big deal, stainless steel weld costs $20 here in socal...

but this J's racing exhaust does look a little out of hand...

tracysport weld and it still broke no matter how nice it looked

J’s Racing wanted to make their exhaust affordable to more customers. That was the main reason of releasing C304 stainless series. In order to save costs, the semi automatic welding method was chosen. J’s could have used the more expensive TIG welding for much better appearance. ASM makes a beautiful stainless exhaust with TIG welding but it costs almost double at 147,000 yen compared to the J’s Racing C304 exhaust of 78,750 yen.
It is unfortunate that many J’s customers are upset for the welding finish of C304 exhaust. On the other hand, there are many customers who are happy with the current C304 exhausts with the same horse power gain as the titanium exhausts. In that sense, I would think J’s Racing first objective for the C304 exhaust was met. I hope J’s Racing somehow will find a way to make the welding better without increasing the cost.

i am not here to bashing anyone or J's Racing..

i myself loved J's Racing. i have a full j's cf body kit.

but this exhaust here really makes me .. to j's racing.

u can get a ebay exhaust for $200 shipped n the quality n weld will look better..

for that price . nah!~~~ right now i will say FU(K J's racing.. if this is the real j's racing exhaust.

as for ASM parts.. they r over price JDM blings.. i bought ASM Oil Catch can for $200 + shipping.. n they just cusco made ,even came with cusco oil lines.. but with ASM installation description paper written in Japanese..
n look at ASM parts, such as Ap Racing bbk kit ASM spec.. $25K , n i still call that

Not impressed at all.

Paying that much for a MIG welded exhaust is a joke. ESPECIALLY MIG welds that look like that. There is no penetration at all. Those are guaranteed to break in a short amount of time.
