Exclamation Js racing type 2 with F-duct!

Using the same principals of a formula 1 f-duct and a bit of brain storming this is what I came up with.

Everyone that has a wing knows that it really slows you down at high speed (voltex owner) with the mugen hard top the center drops down about an inch so putting a roof scoop that feeds to the top of the wing wouldn’t be that hard and would flow a lot of air. Fix a sprung butterfly valve to the front of it and a cable down the window strap (a must in scca rule book) to a paddle behind the steering wheel (pull paddle on straights to open butterfly valve.

Simple!!!

quick sketch

lol nice... I think it would be easier to install active aero on the wing instead

Or you could make that top flap flexible so that it closes at high speeds causing separation on the trailing edge leading to less downforce and drag. But the wing would have to be purposely designed for this. Since our cars are not regulated by any governing body (this was outlawed in f1). Although a hugef fduct would look more interesting.

ya. i was looking at active aero for the gtr but its a lot of $. but... even when a gt wing is flat it still makes alot of low pressure under the wing so to comletely stall the wing even at its lowest angle you would need the f duct.

who knows how to mold CF? anyone, password jdm??? lol

I still think active aerodynamics will be your best bet. Idk if your srs or joking but I'll play along anyway. The reason I feel active aero will be better is b/c when you're going down the straight the wing can level out producing minimal downforce but as you slow for the turn it can "spring" back into position providing downforce for grip. To me this would be a much more accurate than you physically opening and closing a duct in the same locations on every lap. Active aero is very effective, thats why it is banned in F1

Looks like something Bomex would make.

it would be alot better just need to find a way to cut the weight down on the active wings. imagine making it go vertical under braking. that would be pimp.
