just got this Hot Version yesterday, the entire thing is really excellent, one of my favorites for a long time.

really good 200ps class my car challenge Tsukuba battle, and Great Super GT and Touge stuff.

the WRC Evo wasn't really using Tarmac tires either, and didn't look to be setup for the tarmac at all, looked like basically full gravel spec setup.

soooo close on that last turn, haha, crazy ass Tsuchiya, 51 and still crazy

that turn is always one of the best if the battle is close.
what issue # of Hot Version is this? Just wondering if the store near me has got it yet. Thanks

it is HV #88, there is a good little Touge test section with the Seeker S2000, J's Civic R FD2, and some other cars, very very good Hot Version.

and Tsuchiya definitely doesn't always win, he almost always wins on the Touge, but not always, and he doesn't necessarily pick the fastest car either, he just picks the cars he has more fun driving.

soooo many more great tuning shops in Japan, with reaaaaaal passion!

Yeah that evo was totally not set up for tarmac. The suspension had a ton of slop and travel for changing direction on gravel and absorbing bumps. With tires anywhere near as sticky or wide as the s2k and the lower, stiffer tarmac suspension, I'm pretty sure the WRC car would rape on touge.
